Embarking from Dehradun, we set our sights on the Nag Tibba trek, eagerly anticipating the adventure that lies ahead. Upon reaching Pantwari, the gateway to our journey, we eagerly lace up our boots and hit the trail towards the base camp. The trekking path unfolds before us, each step bringing us closer to the serenity of the mountains. Start your day early to make the most of the long trek ahead. From base camp, follow the trail veering right into the dense forest. While the path is mostly clear, be prepared for snowy conditions in January and February, which may obscure the trail. As they ascend, the landscape transitions, offering glimpses of the majestic Himalayan peaks. Upon reaching the summit of Nag Tibba, trekkers are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and snow-capped peaks, a moment to cherish amidst the serene wilderness. After soaking in the beauty, the descent begins, retracing the path back to the base camp and having lunch at the base before packing up your belongings. From there, it’s a return journey to Pantwari village, where the trek concludes. Finally, travelers make their way back to Dehradun, reminiscing about the adventure and the memories forged amidst the mountains.

Transport charges from Dehraudn to Pantwari and return.

All fuel charges, toll taxes and needed forest entry fees along with permits.

March to April: Spring & Forest Bloom Season

  • By Air: The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, located around 30 km from Dehradun. Regular flights connect Dehradun with Delhi and other major Indian cities. From the airport, take a taxi or cab to the city.
  • By Train: Dehradun Railway Station is well connected with Delhi, Haridwar, Lucknow, and other major cities through regular trains.
  • By Road: Overnight Volvo and private buses connect Dehradun with Delhi (250 km, 6–7 hours). Regular buses and taxis are also available from Haridwar and Rishikesh.

  • Pantwari Distance: Pantwari village is approximately 85 km from Dehradun via Mussoorie and Nainbagh.
